Testimonials

Just reminiscing on this lovely experience I had with the amazing Birungi Kawooya as part of the Alice made this Young programme directed by Alice Walsh and Inez Murphy. I have since made a series of collages that echo praise of Black culture and I look forward to what else I can be inspired!
— Tomi Balogun, participant and aspiring architect
Thank you once again for hosting the brilliant workshop in Peckham – both Harriet and I were so impressed and inspired by both your team (Alice, Inez and Birungi) and the young creatives themselves…. The [exhibition] launch night went really well. Your video was very well received! My colleagues very much enjoyed the whole event and I think it was particularly great for the young creatives themselves.
— Clare Birchenhough, RenaissanceRe
[The exhibition launch night] was a wonderful evening and a really lovely combination of corporates who loved the fact they were funding young creatives, and the creatives enjoying networking with them. We missed you of course but it was SO COOL to say ‘she’s in Uganda doing an amazing residency funded by the Arts Council’ too ❤️
A room full of “half glass full” people who enjoyed art and promoting change ⚡
— Alice Walsh, AMT Youth Programme
“You are young, gifted and black”
We must begin to tell our young
There’s a world waiting for you
Yours is the quest that’s just begun.
